This is an opportunity for an experienced talent leader who enjoys balancing strategy with hands-on delivery. You will lead and develop the Talent Acquisition team while partnering closely with operational leaders to ensure our workforce plans translate into practical, proactive recruitment outcomes. From developing attraction strategies and building talent pipelines to recruiting senior and business-critical positions, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Aeris attracts and secures the people who will drive our future success.
Job Description
The Nitty Gritty
Working collaboratively with HR Operations and site leadership teams, you will build trusted relationships across the business, providing expert advice on talent market trends, workforce planning, sourcing strategies and recruitment best practice. While based within our Corporate People & Culture team, you will maintain a strong operational focus, understanding the unique workforce challenges across our mining operations and tailoring recruitment solutions that meet both immediate and long-term business needs.
Success in this role requires someone who is proactive, commercially minded and outcomes focused. You will be comfortable influencing senior stakeholders, challenging traditional recruitment approaches and continuously improving systems, processes and candidate experience to ensure the Talent Acquisition function delivers measurable value to the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, mentoring and developing the Talent Acquisition team to deliver exceptional recruitment outcomes.
Developing and implementing recruitment strategies aligned with operational workforce planning.
Partnering with leaders across the business to provide expert advice on attraction, sourcing and talent market conditions.
Leading end-to-end recruitment for senior leadership and business-critical positions.
Building strategic talent pipelines across technical, operational and leadership disciplines.
Driving employer branding and employee value proposition initiatives to strengthen Aeris' position as an employer of choice.
Managing recruitment reporting, service levels and performance metrics to provide meaningful business insights.
Championing diversity, inclusion and local employment initiatives across all recruitment activities.
Overseeing pre-employment compliance, onboarding coordination and international recruitment processes.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement across recruitment systems, technology and processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
What You Bring
Significant experience leading talent acquisition functions within mining, resources, construction or another operational industry.
Demonstrated success developing workforce attraction strategies and partnering with senior leaders on workforce planning.
Strong leadership capability with a passion for coaching and developing high-performing teams.
Commercial acumen and the ability to balance strategic thinking with practical delivery.
Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting recruitment metrics and workforce data to inform business decisions.
Experience with HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems and LinkedIn Recruiter.
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline.
