The Tritton mine has a 20+ years history of underground operations. We are continually looking at ways to improve our underground operation and refine how we make our existing mine perform into the future. We have transitioned to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore can be transported from our multiple operations to our centralised mill. This is all part of the “Tritton Way Forward” our innovative approach to ensuring the continued and future success of our Tritton Operations.
The Shift Supervisor role is a statutory function to supervise workers and inspect work areas in a part of the mine for a shift during which production is taking place. Ensure mining operations are conducted in a safe manner. Manage mining activities, ensuring hazard identification and reduction are complying to NSW mines and petroleum Act and Regulations. Management of weekly schedule to achieve compliance to plan.
We are looking for a professional with
- Extensive experience in both underground operational roles and supervising / managing underground mining operations in both development and production activities.
- An understanding of the NSW Work Health and Safety legislation including Mines and Petroleum legislation.
- Mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability and computer skills, quick learner, very good written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexible and reliable work ethic demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to lead people.
- RII40320 A Certificate IV Metalliferous Mining Operations or Bachelor of Mining Engineering issued by an Australian university or RII50215 - Diploma of Underground Metalliferous Mining Management.
- RIIRIS402E - Carry out the risk management processes; RIIUND401E - Apply and monitor the ventilation management plan, RIIWHS403E - Apply the work health and safety management plan and RIIBLA401E Manage blasting operations.
- RIIERR404D - Apply and monitor underground metalliferous mine emergency preparedness and response systems
- NSW Mine Supervisor’s certificate of competency and current practicing certificate.
