The Nitty Gritty

Aeris Resources is investing significantly in exploration to unlock further value at our Tritton Copper Operations following the discovery of the Constellation Cu-Au-Ag deposit.

We are currently seeking an Exploration Manager to lead the Exploration team at Tritton. You will be working on an 8/6 roster with the benefit of being part of an experienced Site Leadership Team, while growing your career on exciting projects in a booming commodity.

You will be responsible for developing and guiding a multi-year Exploration Growth Strategy for the Tritton and South Cobar tenement packages, targeting both near-mine (brownfield) and regional (greenfield) discovery opportunities.

You will provide strategic oversight of annual exploration programs, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements, while evaluating emerging exploration technologies to improve exploration success.

Your technical and people leadership skills and advice on regional exploration opportunities will be invaluable.

What you Bring:

• Extensive experience leading mineral exploration activities, including developing and updating exploration targeting strategies and translating them into effective exploration programs, with demonstrated experience leading and developing geology teams.
• Tertiary qualification in Geology and a deep understanding of exploration techniques, standards and regulations.
• Active membership either of AusIMM, AIG or a Recognised Professional Organisation (as prescribed in JORC 2012), with the ability to act in a Competent Person for reporting exploration results.
• Ability to act as an Exploration Licence Technical Manager in NSW (as prescribed by the NSW Resources Regulator).
• A passion for building a strong safety culture and leading and mentoring teams to achieve the best outcomes for both the people and organisation.
• Excellent communicator and presenter, both written and oral.
• Attention to detail, thorough in approach – with the ability to identify and solve complex problems.
• Productive and collaborative working style that allows you to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with demonstrated experience planning and managing exploration budgets and programs, and applying sound technical rigour to evaluate, prioritise and progress exploration projects through the project pipeline.
• Previous copper exploration experience is desirable.

Tritton Copper Operations employs more than 400 people and is located in Hermidale in Western New South Wales.  Tritton has two underground copper mines (Tritton and Murrawombie) and is forecast to produce more than 21,000 tonnes in FY2022.
