We’ve got the rocks covered but we’re looking for one more incredible person to join the team based at Cracow Gold Operations as our Environmental Advisor

The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Sustainability Manager you will be working closely with Cracow site operations to deliver an environmental monitoring, reporting and awareness program to support and demonstrate compliance with statutory environmental monitoring and management requirements. You will coordinate and implement the delivery of continual improvement in management of operation specific environmental risks; support environmental and cultural heritage field work; actively participate in the management, interpretation and reporting of environmental data; maintain environmental department monitoring and associated equipment and support delivery of site environmental and land management projects.

This role is crucial in ensuring the organisation implements and maintains our environmental performance improvement program for mining operations.

What you Bring:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of National and Queensland Biodiversity and Environmental Protection Legislation and its practical application.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience as an Environment Advisor, preferably in underground mining or process plant operations.
  • Experience in field environmental monitoring, environmental data management, land management, rehabilitation and/or mine rehabilitation.
  • Open/Manual Drivers Licence
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Highly Regarded)
  • HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
  • Mining Supervisory qualification G1,8,9 or S 1,2,3 (Highly Regarded)

Cracow Gold Operations is an established underground gold mine located near the towns of Cracow and Theodore in central Queensland, and a short flight from Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast.

It is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and holds a significant tenement package over the Cracow goldfields.
