The Nitty Gritty
Reporting to the Sustainability Manager, you will play an integral part in our operation, supporting the effective application of all health, safety and training programs.
In your day to day, you will assist with ongoing safety education and working with site to drive positive safety outcomes and initiatives. You will be responsible for promoting awareness of Health and Safety Practices, investigating incidents and developing and maintaining the sites Safety and Health Management System
What you Bring:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as an OHS Advisor or Safety Representative, preferably in underground mining or process plant operations.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an operational role in mining, minerals processing and/or similar industry.
- Experience in coordinating and/or leading delivery of and improving SHMS through a process of continuous improvement.
- Experience in engaging, influencing, coaching and mentoring all levels of operational personnel.
- Minimum Certificate IV in WHS with Diploma in WH&S (or ability to obtain) preferred
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
- PUAEM008 Provide Pain Management
- RIIWHS601D Establish & Maintain WHS Management System
- RIIRIS601E Establish and Maintain a Risk Management System?
- BSBWHS419 Contribute to implementing WHS monitoring processes
- HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Mining Supervisory qualification G1,8,9 or S 1,2,3
