The Nitty Gritty
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information while partnering with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate accounting records
- Assist with preparation of the monthly board report including consolidation, financial analysis and commentary.
- Maintain fixed asset registers
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for corporate departments
- Provide clear, practical financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
- Support year-end statutory reporting and external audit processes
- Prepare monthly Group BAS return
- Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, controls and processes
What you Bring:
You will possess high levels of integrity and professionalism, a will to make a difference and an element of fun to join in our team, in addition you will bring:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar financial role
- First movers from Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firms welcome to apply
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting / finance
- CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified
- Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation relevant to the company’s activities.
- Advanced skills and experience in Excel, familiarity with ERP and financial applications including Pronto would be well regarded
- Exceptional attention to detail and advanced analytical skills
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
