The Nitty Gritty

Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial information while partnering with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate accounting records
• Assist with preparation of the monthly board report including consolidation, financial analysis and commentary.
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Prepare budgets and forecasts for corporate departments
• Provide clear, practical financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
• Support year-end statutory reporting and external audit processes
• Prepare monthly Group BAS return  
• Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, controls and processes

What you Bring:

You will possess high levels of integrity and professionalism, a will to make a difference and an element of fun to join in our team, in addition you will bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar financial role
• First movers from Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firms welcome to apply
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting / finance
• CA/CPA qualified or part-qualified
• Knowledge of accounting standards and legislation relevant to the company’s activities.
• Advanced skills and experience in Excel, familiarity with ERP and financial applications including Pronto would be well regarded
• Exceptional attention to detail and advanced analytical skills
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously
