The Nitty Gritty
We are seeking an Underground Trainer to coordinate inductions, deliver training programs, conduct competency assessments, and maintain training records through the Learning Management System. You will collaborate with stakeholders and the workforce to ensure personnel are compliant, competent, and prepared to operate safely and effectively in underground environments.
What you Bring:
- Coordinate and facilitate on-site inductions ensuring all employees, contractors and client personnel are site compliant and remain site compliant, which includes conducting underground tours.
- Provide and facilitate visitor inductions as required.
- Ensure Entry level starter program is adhered too, and relevant documentation is provided to support them through this process.
- Maintain adequate training records, reports, and documents to a high standard.
- Liaising with underground and surface personnel, conducting training and competency assessments.
- Development of training packages and implementing systems to align with the existing training plans.
- Actively participate in the ongoing integrity of training records, matrices, and TNA’s.
- Reporting on activities within set timeframes.
- Maintain the sites Learning Management System.
- Partner with key stakeholders/ subject matter experts to design and deliver training programs and packages specific to the needs of the business and legislative requirements.
- Have the ability to build rapport with workers, going the extra mile to assist them.
- Work well in a team environment.
- Have proven time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Have proven communication skills and the ability to be adaptive with operational changes.
- Conduct training assessments including verification of competency, written and observation and provide feedback to operators on competency performance.

The Company
Tritton Operations
Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine located near the towns of Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Commencing production in 2005, Tritton is 100% owned and operated by Aeris Resources and forms the cornerstone of our copper production.
Tritton mines from multiple sources and as we look to bring more mines into production, we are are transitioning to a ‘hub-and-spoke’ model where ore is transported to our centralised mill for processing.
