We are looking for applications from qualified Auto Electricians to join the Maintenance team to carry out preventative electrical maintenance and repairs to mobile equipment and motor vehicles at an underground mine site.
This is a 7/7 rotating days and nights shifts roster and supported by additional benefits such as residential bonus or DIDO allowance plus full covered accommodation and meals.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Carry out all duties as directed by Supervisor and in accordance with;
- Safe working practices and individual skills;
- Workplace safety regulations and HSE site procedures, and
- Maintenance reporting systems.
- Complete Job Start prior to commencing each task.
- Participate in shift changeover and collect information on a range of issues including:
- Details of urgent breakdown maintenance requirements; and
- Status of equipment scheduled for routine preventative maintenance.
- Location of equipment.
- Review drawings, specifications, wiring diagrams etc to determine work methods, sequence of activities. Prioritise work and organise parts/components.
- Maximise availability, reliability and performance of equipment and vehicles by carrying out preventative/breakdown maintenance observing hazard identification requirements, isolation procedures etc.
- Carry out performance test of equipment before signing off to ensure the equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Input data to performance maintenance system.
- Supervise and/or train other employees in relevant trade discipline as required.
What you bring
- Relevant Trade Qualification
- Understand general Underground Mining operations
- Underground Mining experience
- Strong auto electrical knowledge and fault-finding skills
- Ability to be able to work on all Low voltage machinery systems and read diagrams
- Occupational Health and Safety Requirements within a mining environment
- Current, unrestricted C Class Drivers License (or equivalent)
- Air con and ozone awareness
