We are looking for applications from experienced Bogger Operators to carry out all development and production bogging activities for the underground operations. We can offer Residential and DIDO options on a 7/7 days and nights shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Safely operate a bogger (Load Haul Dump machine) to extract and transport waste, ore, backfill, or other materials within the underground mine or surface waste dumps and stockpiles.
  • Respond appropriately to emergency situations involving: o Runaway loader o Loader fire o Tyre fire o Loader rollover o Loader towing o Loader breakdown/communication loss in a stope
  • Conduct start-of-shift communication and ensure proper selection and use of required safety equipment.
  • Perform pre-start and pre-operational checks on the bogger according to site requirements.
  • Utilize appropriate signage and lights for bogging in progress, open stope, and backfilling activities, and follow the Active Area Bogging in Progress procedures.
  • Understand and comply with the site’s bunding standards.
  • Identify, report, and manage misfires as per site protocols.
  • Regularly clean development drive and draw point windrows and maintain roadways to prevent large rocks and potholes.
  • Operate the bogger safely and efficiently for both general and special operational tasks in compliance with site standards and Mines Regulations.
  • Complete post-operational tasks, including refueling and end-of-shift communication, according to site standards.
  • Perform tele-remote and line-of-sight remote bogging activities if trained and competent to do so

 What you Bring:    

  • A current Australian Driver’s License.
  • A current SafeWork NSW Security Clearance (SC).
  • A current SafeWork NSW Blasting Explosive User License (BEUL) license.
  • Previous experience operating haul trucks.
  • Preferably previous experience operating loaders and/or ancillary equipment in confined spaces.
  • Preferably previous experience working in close proximity to high risk work areas such as open voids, stope edges, draw points and unsupported ground
